Mike Franz '03 represents the very best of Brown Men's Ultimate. As devoted a friend as he was a teammate and captain, he elevated the team through his tireless commitment, intelligence and good humor. We will always remember Mike as a larger-than-life figure whose booming voice and big hugs were the outward displays of his energetic personality and immense heart.
The Mike Franz Memorial Fund commemorates Mike's consummate affection for his teammates, while perpetuating his efforts to establish Brown Ultimate within the university community and as a top collegiate Ultimate program. The Fund will honor Mike's legacy by working to ensure that financial considerations never prevent Brown students from enjoying the atmosphere of teamwork and achievement that he valued so deeply.
