Brown Sports Foundation's 25th Anniversary
January 2008
Nationwide
The Brown University Sports Foundation and Brown Athletics are both at a critical point in their history and a convergence of events presents a once in a generation opportunity. As the Sports Foundation celebrates its Silver Anniversary, Director of Athletics, Michael Goldberger has also unveiled a bold vision for the future of Brown Athletics that will address Brown Athletics' most pressing needs.
The four pillars of his plan are:
1) Integrating athletics more strongly into the educational mission
2) Having the ability to retain and recruit world class coaches
3) Providing the budget resources for our teams to compete at the highest level
4) Developing facilities that are indicative of Brown's overall commitment to excellence
It will take significant investment to achieve Goldie's objectives and sustain Brown's place among the top athletic programs in the Ivy League. Our goal for the 25th Anniversary year is to raise $25 million that will provide long-term stability and growth for Brown Athletics. These funds will address the four critical issues in Goldie's plan.
We need your help to reach this lofty goal. We ask you to think about what the Brown Athletics experience means to our student-athletes, alumni/ae, and the entire Brown community. To find out more about how you can make an impact on this moment in Brown Athletics history and ensure excellence into the future, please call the Sports Foundation at (401)-863-1900.
